Back Here on Earth
It's a lovely Thursday morning out in Southern California. It's not like I hate the summer and the sun. Personally I love that time of year as well here. But there is just something magical about the way the mountains look as a backdrop for our southland just after a good snow. The view is absolutely spectacular.

Thoughts towards heaven
I have been thinking a lot lately about what I have been doing and where I have been going. Also, with the United States soon to be in transition among its leaders, it was a good time to take stock. A few different conclusions that I have reached have come to me:
1) I am not really worried about who is going to be elected president. This is not to say that I do not have an opinion. And it certainly worries me about the fact the president is definitely a reflection of who we are as a people. And it certainly is not tending toward a good thing. But the truth of the matter is this. I am not in control over that decision. What I do have control over is my own life, and how I am living it. I certainly believe that we should take captive every thought. We should be more intentional about living. How many people are honestly intentional about the way we live. We are mostly dominated by our own passions, which certainly run wild. We need to think things through, and make sure we live the way that we say we want to live.
2) I need to think about what I am going to do with my money. I think by looking at this I have seen why the money in my account disappears every month, not because we don't have the money, but because we don't think about it. This is not to make money an obsession. But as long as it has its proper place as a tool and not an end in itself, we can look honestly about what we spend and how we spend, and maybe even be able to save a little to boot. I am no entrepeneur. I am no risk taker in this reguard. But what I can be is a good steward of the money that I have been given.
I have many more little tidbits to share, but I will do this later. Hope life and the world is treating you well.
